Terms & Conditions and Participation Agreement
By registering for this program at Mohammad Rasul-Allah Islamic Cultural Center (New Westminster, BC), you acknowledge and agree to the following terms and guidelines:
1. Code of Conduct & Respectful Environment
Participants and attendees agree to conduct themselves with dignity, mutual respect, and adherence to Islamic ethics and Center rules. The Center reserves the right to decline or terminate participation for any individual who engages in disruptive, disrespectful, or unsafe behavior.
2. Registration, Fees & Zeffy Platform
Registration and payments are processed securely via Zeffy (100% free platform for Canadian non-profits). A spot in the course is only confirmed upon successful completion of the payment/registration transaction.
3. Cancellations & Refund Policy
Course and program fees are non-refundable once the course start date arrives, as resources and seating capacities are committed in advance. If the Center cancels or postpones a course, participants will receive a full refund or the option to transfer to a future session.
4. Child & Youth Supervision (If Applicable)
For youth or children's courses, parents/guardians are responsible for punctual drop-off and pick-up. Parents must provide accurate medical and emergency contact details and notify staff in writing of any specific allergies or accommodations required.
5. Health, Safety & Emergency Consent
Participants must follow provincial health directives and facility safety protocols. In the event of a medical emergency during a session, the Center’s staff and volunteers are authorized to seek standard emergency medical assistance (e.g., 911 / paramedics) if the parent or emergency contact cannot be reached immediately.
6. Photography & Media Notice
The Center may occasionally document community events and classes through photography or videography for educational and non-commercial community reporting. If you or your child prefer not to appear in media, please notify the program organizers in writing upon arrival.
7. Assumption of Risk & Liability Waiver
To the fullest extent permitted by the laws of British Columbia and Canada, participants (and their parents/legal guardians) waive and release Mohammad Rasul-Allah Islamic Cultural Center, its directors, instructors, and volunteers from any claims, losses, or liabilities arising from participation in program activities or presence on the premises.
8. Privacy & Information Handling (PIPA / PIPEDA)
Participant and contact information is collected for course administration, program safety, and official Center communications. The Center may process and manage this data using secure third-party digital tools, cloud infrastructure, communication platforms, and automated/AI services necessary for administrative and organizational operations. Personal data is never sold to commercial third parties for advertising or marketing purposes.
